Many people have an opinion about getting a “real job” versus making money online. However, there is a third option that is often overlooked, and that is using the internet to make money without having to get a “real” job at all. In this post, I am going to share with you 4 proven ways that you can use the internet to make money… even if you do not currently have a “real” job.
Sell Your Information
If you have a website or some other form of online presence, you are already giving away the farm. By giving people the option to buy whatever it is that you are selling, you are essentially giving them complete control over your sales message… and… you are giving up all rights to claim that you own the copy that they are reading.
But, you don’t really own it. Not in any legal sense. What you do own is the right to make a sale. And that’s it. Once someone has read your copy and decided to buy what you are selling, they are then free to pass judgment on your ethics… and… even if they don’t, there is nothing that you can do about it. The internet is an ocean of opportunity, and if you have a good idea and a little courage, there is no limit to the money that you can make.
Selling information has many advantages: You don’t have to meet people in person; you don’t have to get creative with your copy, and you don’t have to deal with anyone but the people who are willing to buy your information. This is a great way to make money… even if… you do not currently have a “real” job.
Sell Your Skills
If you are an expert at something, you have a valuable skill… and… if you can find a way to get that skill in front of enough people, you can earn a substantial income for yourself. Look at it this way: If you are an expert at designing websites… and… there are 1,000 other people just as expert as you are, then… all those other people combined have a total skill set equal to 10,000 people who have no skills whatsoever.
This doesn’t mean you should stop learning; it simply means that you should start teaching others what you know. The easiest way to do this is to create an online course. Then, when people purchase your course, they get immediate access to everything that you have learned… plus… they get to keep the materials so that they can continue to educate themselves.
Become A Freelancer
There are many people with “real jobs” who would love to have the opportunity to work from home. Why? Simply because working from home is much more flexible than having a “normal” job. If you are good at what you do, there will always be work for you. There is no such thing as job security anymore. And if there ever is, it will be for the truly clueless.
Selling your information (see above) and selling your skills (see above) are both great ways to become an “information freelancer” and a “skill freelancer” respectively. However, these are not the only ways. If you are in a unique position where you can offer something extra (that is, if you are an expert in a particular field), you can become an “expert freelancer” and sell your expertise directly to clients.
Become A Affiliate Marketer
An Affiliate Marketer is someone who promotes the products of other people. In other words, an Affiliate Marketer is a "middle man". He gets paid a commission for sending someone to another person's website to buy something.
Affiliate marketing is one of the easiest and most ethical ways to make money on the Internet. It is also one of the fastest-growing forms of Internet marketing.
There are hundreds of thousands of websites using this form of marketing... and... that number is growing every day! There are two basic types of affiliate marketers: Those who work with a network (like Commission Junction) and those who create their own niche websites.
Evaluate Your Current Efforts
The Internet is an amazing tool for both beginners and experts. If you have a website or some other form of online presence, take a few minutes to evaluate your current efforts. Are there ways that you could improve the profitability of your site?
If so, how could you do that? Please share your thoughts in the comments below.
